This is our FAQ page. Please look at the questions previously asked to see if there is already an answer.
What Does M/C stand for?
M/C stands for Motorcycle Club. Not “Gang” as many believe. It also can stand for MEN’S CLUB.
What does DRMC and RFFR stand for?
You may see the letters, DRMC or RFFR or both throughout the website and on return correnpondence from us. The letters DRMC stands for Detroit Renegades Motorcycle Club, and the letters RFFR stands for Renegades Forever, Forever Renegades.
What are “Colors”?
The “Colors”, “Cut” or even “Rag” is the patch or insignia of a given club. Ours is sometimes referred to as the fighter pilot, in Black and Gold. The term “colors” goes back to the different militaries of the world flying their “colors” to identify them on the battlefield. Pirates were also known to have flown Colors to warn other ships. Pirates, colors like Motorcycle Clubs would be of their own design. Many will recognize the Jolly Roger as an example with the skull and crossed bones. The colors were also used as an intimidation tactic.
How do I join the Detroit Renegades Motorcycle Club?
The road to earning a patch is a long journey. It was created to bond brothers. The best way to do this is seek out a member in person and go that route. However, if that is not possible feel free to drop us a line and we can go from there. This DOES NOT mean to come knocking on our door. Understand, joining an M/C isn’t part time and it isn’t a bowling league. There isn’t an on/off season. It is year round, 24/7/365. It is a commitment and a lifestyle. If you decide the above terms can be met, drop us a line. We would be glad to meet you. And please, be careful with the use of the word “brother” or “bro”. Untill you are a member, YOU ARE NOT A BROTHER. The best way to seek membership would be if we are seen in public, to approach one of us and ask. Try not to interupt whatever is going on. A good ice breaker would be to buy the member a beer and go from there. The process begins when a person comes to the club and decides to be a hang around. it will then be decided if an individual cam become a probationary member. If you decide becomming a member is the road you want to take, you will be required to undergo a probation period this could consist from 30 to 90 days or sometimes longer. After this time you would become a full patch member with all the rights and benefits that come with it.
How do I start a Detroit Renegades Chapter?
Very simple, you don’t. These are created from our existing ranks and expanded from there.
I have a question about a member or past member.
This is fine, please feel free to ask. However we cannot guarantee it will be answered. If you ask about a member previous or current, in good standing or no, you will not recieve a response from the website unless the individual says it is alright to do so. Upon contact, we will forward the information on to the member in question and we will allow them to decide to contact you directly by email or telephone. Please include a way for the member to contact you. Without this you WILL NOT get a response. There is also the posibility that the member may decide not to contact you. This is at the sole discretion of the member. Do not send us repeated emails asking why. As far as passed on brothers, we will only respond to family members and you will be asked to prove it.
How do I get support gear?
The best way is to get in touch with a member. Drop us an email.
Why Don’t you guys wave when I see you in the pack?
No, we arent being assholes. Everything we do in the pack is done with hand signals. If we wave back at you, this could be a disaster for everyones safety. Example, a guy waves at us and the 2nd guy on the left waves back, the guy behind him will think we are getting ready to turn left or merge left. Then the guy behind him does the same and so on. We now have 40 guys thinking we are making a turn. You can see how this could really mess things up quick. So, if you see a pack of bikes, especially a club. Don’t bother to wave because chances are, you won’t get a wave back. Again, we aren’t being assholes we are just being safe.
